BioRap Technologies Ltd., headed by David Promof, CEO, was established in 2001 as a private company fully owned by the Rappaport Family Institute for Research in the Medical Sciences, and is located within its facilities. The Rappaport Institute is affiliated with the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

The Rappaport Institute consistently introduces biotech concepts based on novel scientific insights and applied directly to critical human health care issues.

BioRap offers investors and potential strategic partners a diverse portfolio of opportunities representing the latest life science technologies. 

BioRap's  goal is to promote innovative research by Rappaport Institute members. The company provides a full spectrum of support for the generation and protection of biomedical research-based intellectual property, which has the potential to be developed into commercial applications and has launched a number of joint ventures with academic institutions and industries on an international scale.
